In the August 2023 issue of Corporate Vision magazine, RHM International was recognized as one of the outstanding organizations in the world of business as a developer of innovative, high-voltage and extra high-voltage dry type insulated products for the global power transmission industry.
These innovative products offer the power industry dry type alternatives to oil and SF6-gas insulated instrument transformers, transformer bushings, wall bushings and cable accessories, up to 600 kV. RHM International’s proclivity for innovative thinking has also led to the development of integrated condition monitoring systems (systems that are built into the equipment and components during manufacture) that offer simpler and cheaper alternatives to third party condition monitoring systems. Integrated condition monitoring systems that have been developed to date can be used to detect changes in the C1 capacitance in the primary condenser core, to capture and process high frequency partial discharge pulse current signals and to detect accuracy “drift” in metering current transformers.
RHM International’s ongoing commitment to R&D has allowed it to develop innovative products and solutions for a changing power industry. Innovative product development through research started in the early 1990s with the introduction of the high voltage dry type wall bushing and continues to date with the recent developments of high-voltage dry type insulated low power instrument transformers (eCT and eVCT) and the high voltage bushing with integrated low power instrument transformers (BIIT™) for the IEC 61850 market.
The next step for RHM International will be the launch of a 5-year development that will be the industry’s first dry type insulated capacitive voltage transformer (CVT). More on this in a future article.
RHM International prides itself on being able to develop the right products at the right times for a fast-changing power industry. This innovative thinking and RHM International’s proven record for durability and dependability with 25 years of operating experience in the field and over 45,000 units installed worldwide will continue to provide the industry with the safest and most durable alternative to oil and SF6-gas insulated products.
