RHM International recently attended the CIGRE Canada 2023 conference in Vancouver, British Columbia which was held from September 25th to 27th, participating as an exhibitor while also presenting a technical paper titled “New Dry Type Insulated Products for Your IEC 61850 Digital Substation.” We are proud to announce that our paper was selected second best in the overall category with 96 papers submitted for peer review.
Our paper focused on an innovative line of dry type non-conventional instrument transformers (NCIT) that RHM International has developed for the future IEC 61850 digital substation. These new low power instrument transformers use the same dry type insulation technology that has been used for many years in our conventional instrument transformers offering the proven reliability, safety and environmental benefits of the dry insulation technology for the digital equivalent.
The theme of the conference focused on the transformation and impact of accelerated electrification on the T&D system. The conference attracted a large audience with 62 exhibitors and 560+ registered delegates with many of the Canadian utilities and transmission companies represented.
